Full Job Description
Role Description:Partner with Markets technology management and operations teams to gather requirements, define system architecture, and ensure the Application Scheduler platform integrates seamlessly with existing Markets application infrastructure and enterprise tooling
• Resolve high-impact operational and technical challenges through in-depth evaluation of application lifecycle management, process scheduling, and real-time monitoring requirements across a complex, distributed server environment
• Provide technical expertise and advanced knowledge in full-stack application development, ensuring the platform design including server-side agents, REST APIs, and the management UI adheres to the overall Markets technology architecture blueprint
• Utilize advanced knowledge of distributed systems and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of the scheduler platform, including the monitoring agent network and scheduling engine
• Design and implement core platform capabilities including application start/stop/restart lifecycle control, cron-based scheduling with on-the-fly modification, remote log streaming, configuration and command-line argument management, and package version control
• Develop and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) with enterprise LDAP/Active Directory authentication, ensuring clear separation between read-only operator and administrator access levels with a full audit trail
• Build an API-first platform where every UI capability is exposed via authenticated REST endpoints, enabling scripted automation, CLI tooling, and configuration-as-code workflows for Markets engineering teams
• Implement proactive alerting and real-time observability features, including crash detection, startup failure notifications, multi-channel alert dispatch (email, ServiceNow), and live log tail via WebSocket eliminating the need for direct server access
