In this role, you will design, optimize, and develop software solutions aimed at maximizing performance and efficiency in an R&D-focused environment. This position is primarily based in **Fredericksburg and Dahlgren, VA**, with opportunities for occasional telecommuting and travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with team members and end-users to design and develop graphical user interfaces (GUIs)for internal tools.
- Create, implement, and enhance software using C++, Rational Team Concert, GitLab, and other DevOps tools.
- Support and actively participate in test events, which may necessitate occasional travel to other locations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics, with relevant hands-on experience.
- Active Secret-level US Government Security Clearance (US citizenship is required to maintain clearance).
- Proficiency across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, coding, benchmarking, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Proven ability to plan, perform, and lead software design, coding, and testing efforts.
- Practical experience working in Agile software development environments using Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products, such as Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for decision tracking.
- Proficient in using version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Demonstrated experience in C++, C#, and Java (preferred).
- Candidates with hands-on expertise in object-oriented programming are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to commute regularly to Fredericksburg and Dahlgren, VA, located approximately 1 hour south of Washington, D.C.

Compensation Details:$75K to $90k
