Job Description

DNV Business Assurance North America is seeking a Junior Sales Executive to develop new business across services including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO/IEC 27701, TISAX, ICT training, and related assurance services.

You will build client relationships, identify opportunities within DNV's customer base, follow up on sales and marketing leads, and manage opportunities from initial contact through proposal and closing. Working with sales, account management, marketing, and technical specialists, you will connect client needs with appropriate ICT assurance services.

This role offers a developing sales professional the opportunity to build expertise in cybersecurity, information security, AI governance, privacy, business continuity, and digital assurance while contributing to the growth of DNV's ICT business across North America.

This is a remote position that is based out of one of our DNV offices in AZ, CA, FL, NJ, NV, NY, PA, TX, and Washington D.C. with travel up to 10% domestic or international.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities Business Development and Market Growth
  • Develop new opportunities through targeted prospecting, outbound campaigns, cross-selling, and follow-up on leads from marketing, webinars, training, events, website inquiries, and referrals.
  • Research target organizations and decision-makers, re-engage selected prospects, and build a qualified pipeline across DNV's ICT assurance portfolio.
  • Develop knowledge of DNV's ICT assurance and training services, monitor market developments, and contribute to sales messaging and campaign ideas.

Sales and Client Engagement
  • Qualify client needs, priorities, stakeholders, timing, and commercial potential, and manage opportunities from initial contact through proposal and closing.
  • Build trusted client relationships, explain ICT assurance services in clear business language, and identify cross-sell, training, and account-expansion opportunities.
  • Coordinate proposals, pricing input, internal approvals, client follow-up, and responses to client inquiries and formal requests.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, clear next steps, and timely pipeline and forecast updates, and coordinate successful handoffs to delivery teams.

Collaboration
  • Work with account managers, industry sales teams, and experienced ICT sales colleagues to develop opportunities, including strategic, integrated, multi-site, or more complex engagements.
  • Partner with marketing, technical specialists, auditors, and delivery teams to confirm client requirements, scope, feasibility, timing, and appropriate support.
  • Participate in pipeline and sales-planning reviews and share relevant client feedback, market insights, and recurring sales barriers with ICT leadership.

Knowledge of every ICT standard is not required at the time of hire. We are looking for someone with the commercial aptitude, curiosity, and discipline to build this knowledge.

DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 USD - $90,000 USD.

What is Required
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in B2B sales, business development, inside sales, lead qualification, account development, or another relevant commercial role.
  • Experience developing or qualifying opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, referrals, or customer relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads, client relationships, and opportunities.
  • Confidence initiating client conversations and the ability to work independently while collaborating across sales, marketing, account management, technical, and delivery teams.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, information security, technology, risk, compliance, assurance, certification, or professional services, with the ability to translate technical services into clear business value.
  • Experience using, or the ability to learn, customer relationship management and standard business productivity tools.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Experience selling professional services, certification, assurance, training, cybersecurity, technology, risk, or compliance services.
  • Experience identifying opportunities within an existing customer base and supporting proposals, commercial presentations, requests for information, or formal procurement responses.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 22301, ISO/IEC 27701, TISAX, or other cybersecurity and information security frameworks.
