Junior Hydrogeologist to join our growing
Hydrogeology team. Our team supports a diverse range of mining and other sector projects, with expertise spanning hydrogeological investigations, groundwater monitoring, data analysis, hydrogeological assessment, and groundwater modelling. You'll work alongside experienced hydrogeologists and multidisciplinary teams, gaining hands-on field and consulting experience while contributing to practical solutions and the continued growth of our Hydrogeology practice.
The Role:As a
Junior Hydrogeologist, you'll support the delivery of hydrogeological and geotechnical programs through a combination of field investigation, data analysis, technical reporting, and project support.
You will:
- Project Delivery: Support hydrogeological and geotechnical projects through field programs, data analysis, technical deliverables, and project documentation.
- Field Investigations: Support groundwater and hydrogeological investigations and monitoring programs, including groundwater and surface water sampling, lithological logging, well installation and development, groundwater-level measurements, and routine hydraulic testing.
- Field Programs: Support the coordination of drilling programs, contractors, field personnel, equipment, and logistics, while operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting groundwater monitoring equipment and instrumentation.
- Field Quality: Maintain accurate field records, sampling documentation, chain of custody records, and field logs while following applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality control procedures.
- Data Analysis: Compile, manage, validate, and interpret groundwater, geological, geochemical, and environmental data, including groundwater levels, hydraulic gradients, hydrographs, water quality, and routine aquifer test results.
- Hydrogeological Modelling: Contribute to conceptual hydrogeological models, identify data gaps and uncertainties, and support quality assurance and quality control of hydrogeological databases and monitoring datasets.
- Technical Deliverables: Use GIS and analytical tools, including Leapfrog, to prepare maps, cross-sections, figures, tables, technical reports, data summaries, proposals, and work plans.
