The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) is seekinga FrontendDesigner &Developertocreateworld-class user experience for complex space systems. We developcutting-edgevisualization toolsfrom sophisticated web and desktop applicationstoimmersive experiences,that transform complex engineering data into intuitive interfaces for critical decision-making in civil, commercial, and national security space programs.

ISCD staffleveragecutting-edgeinformation system technologies,including elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and advanced visualization frameworks,combined withexpertisein software architecture, AI, and cybersecurity to deliver high-performance systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.

You willwork closely with product experience designers and other engineerstotranslatecustomer needs into innovative design solutions.

This is a full-time position based inEl Segundo,CA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You Need to be Successful Member of Technical Staff System Software Engineering

MinimumRequirementsfor the Member of Technical Staff System Software Engineering:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related STEM discipline

  • At least2 years of experience in frontenddesign and/ordevelopment(postbachelors completed)

  • Proficiencyin TypeScript and modernweb frontendframeworks and librariessuch as React, Angular, or Vue

  • Demonstratedabilityinuser research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and accessibility

  • Provenability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives

  • This position requires ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if youhaveone or more of these:

  • Master's or Ph.D. inHCI, Computer Science, Design, or Human Factors

  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools and methodologies

  • Proficiencywith Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, or equivalent modeling tools

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and staff

  • Experience building andmaintaininglarge-scale design systems

  • Previousexperience working with aerospace or defense industry clients

  • Current DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
