Full Job Description
How You Can Make an Impact
The Junior Estimator will be responsible for preparing smaller scope lump sum bids. This position will develop proposals and estimates as assigned, and ensure they are done accurately and in a timely manner. The Junior Estimator will need to be detail-oriented and driven, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the Estimating Team on larger-scale bids.

How You Will Contribute
  • Prepare unitized and smaller scope lump sum bids.
  • Ensure pricing is updated in Heavy Bid Software.
  • Assist in the transfer of bid information to HeavyJob and Vista by Viewpoint.
  • Maintain and source the best value and diverse subcontractors/suppliers/resources.
  • Manage and update Activity Codebook/Material Codebook.
  • Conduct a Project Handoff Meeting that is initiated by the Execution Team.
  • Participate in project post-mortem reviews.

What You Bring to the Table
Required:
  • Knowledgeable in City, County, and municipality requirements (i.e. Standard Plans and Specifications).
  • Knowledgeable with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, quotes, purchase orders, etc.
  • Strong computer aptitude and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of CPM scheduling via MS Project.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Ability to agree on completion dates and times for delegated work, paraphrase or repeat all verbal requests, keep track of delegated work, and complete delegated work on time.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean record and no driving restrictions.
Desired:
  • Knowledgeable with P6
  • Knowledgeable with HCSS/Heavy Bid software

Your Prior Experience
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in a construction office environment performing administrative or project coordinator duties.
  • Desired:
    • Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
    • Experience working with Diverse Supplier Tracking and Identification.
    • Experience with contracts and AHJ Permits/Spec/Standards.
    • 2 years of verifiable experience in a construction office environment performing administrative or project coordinator duties.
    • Estimating experience preferred.
      • Construction project management experience preferred.

Our Competitive Package
Pay: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
