Position Description:

Join a high performing Agile team supporting the modernization, operations, and maintenance of mission critical systems built on the Appian platform. As a Junior Appian Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of automated workflows and case management applications. You'll collaborate closely with architects, analysts, and DevOps engineers to deliver secure, scalable, high quality Appian solutions. This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Assist in building and configuring Appian applications, including SAIL interfaces, process models, expression rules, records, and integrations.
. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
. Support requirements analysis and documentation by working with business analysts and senior developers.
. Conduct unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance test preparation, ensuring code quality and alignment with established technical standards.
. Help maintain test assets and support continuous automation efforts.
. Troubleshoot application issues and support Tier 2/Tier 3 problem resolution under the guidance of senior team members.
. Follow version control and configuration management processes using tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
. Assist in preparing user guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials as part of onboarding and feature rollout.
. Participate in knowledge transfer activities, including job shadowing, guided performance, and independent performance stages utilized during system transitions.
. Support adherence to accessibility, security, and quality standards, including Section 508 conformance, secure coding practices, and audit readiness activities.
. Maintain awareness of new Appian platform features and participate in training sessions conducted by senior staff or a Center of Excellence.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
. 0-2 years of experience in software development or low code platforms.
. Basic understanding of workflow automation, process modeling, or enterprise application development.
. Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps environments and the software development lifecycle.
. Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
. Ability to meet eligibility requirements for federal background investigations and security compliance when supporting government programs
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Exposure to the Appian platform (e.g., Appian Academy courses, hands on sandbox use, or prior internship experience).
. Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman), CI/CD pipelines, or DevSecOps practices.
. Familiarity with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, SSO/LDAP, cloud platforms, or SharePoint).
. Experience supporting enterprise applications in highly regulated or compliance driven environments.
. Understanding of accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508) and secure development practices.
. Appian certifications (e.g., Associate Developer) or Agile/DevOps certifications (e.g., ITIL, SAFe).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $52,200.00 $123,800.00.
