SAIC is seeking an experienced Joint Training Analyst located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support the Joint Training and Analysis Branch of United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) J7 to provide support to military training and exercises by observing and evaluating how well training objectives are being met, as well as assess and document the outcomes of training, participate in meetings and events, and provide input for reports and databases.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Facilitate the observation and evaluation of exercise and training objectives for USPACOM and its subordinate commands.
  • Conduct training assessments of joint functional areas in USPACOM. This requires working with appropriate headquarters staff members, documenting training outcomes, and ensuring inputs to exercise summary reports and databases.
  • Attend USPACOM battle rhythm events as required and represent J751 equities in these events.
  • Attend planning and training events throughout the PACOM area of operation, representing Joint Training and Analysis equities.
  • Required at times to deliver briefs regarding Joint Training and Analysis equities.
  • Assist with the filing of reports and maintenance of lessons-learned and exercise summary report databases using the various systems of record used by J751.
  • Assist in the scheduling of video-teleconferences and venues in support of training events.


Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Mid-level to Senior Officer experience.
  • Joint / Service exercise planning experience, preferably including Combatant Command, Component, or Operational headquarters level.
  • Must be able to absorb, refine and articulate policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient conduct of joint training and assist with the Planning, Execution, and Assessment of Joint Training.
  • Must have excellent analysis, communication skills, and be proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Training System.
  • Position requires travel throughout the Pacific region.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES:
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
