The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced paralegal to fill the Litigation and Legal Support Manager position. The Litigation and Legal Support Manager serves as the operational and administrative manager for the Legal Support Unit within the Office of General Counsel. This position provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of legal support operations and litigation activities; expertly performs paralegal responsibilities including discovery production and subpoena response; and functions as the primary administrative liaison between legal support staff, attorneys, and executive leadership.

Job Duties:

- Supervises assigned legal support staff, including workload distribution, performance management, coaching, and employee development
- Establishes operational priorities, procedures, and workflow processes
- Develops and implements process improvements
- Monitors unit productivity and performance metrics
- Establishes expectations and goals for programs, staff, and measures performance
- Performs legal support activities, including litigation support, legal access monitoring, publication review, e-discovery, and records management
- Prepares reports, summaries, organizational updates, and operational analyses for executive leadership
- Maintains the integrity of data related to the business, and develops and/or maintains management reports
- Participates in organizational planning, restructuring initiatives, and special projects related to legal support operations
- Assists with implementation of agency initiatives affecting legal and administrative support services
- Collaborates with ADCRR attorneys, the Attorney General's Office, and outside counsel to meet discovery and litigation needs
- Composes correspondence dealing with legal or sensitive subject matters that require sound judgment
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Administrative and civil litigation processes
- Data entry application systems
- State and Federal laws, rules and regulations governing the Agency's operations
- Management and supervisory practices
- Organization and operations of the Office of the Attorney General

Selective Preference(s):

- Paralegal Degree and/or Certificate
- Experience performing administrative work in a criminal justice or law office environment
- Five years of experience in a paralegal role
