About the jobAs an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the US Tax Team. You will have the opportunity to work in various areas of tax and regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization.
Currently, this is a Hybrid opportunity located in Indianapolis, IN, Houston, TX, Richmond, VA, Warrington, PA, or Kenosha, WI. As a part of the team, you will:
- Support the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local income tax filings, including a consolidated federal return and unitary or separate company state returns for most states.
- Preparing the calculations and filings of income tax estimates and extensions.
- Handling regulatory correspondence, inquiries, and audits.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external service providers to gather, analyze, and validate company data for tax purposes.
- Nexus studies and state and local tax registrations.
- Gross receipts and franchise tax filings, transfer pricing documentation, and indirect tax (sales tax and VAT) compliance.
- Property tax filings and informational reporting (such as Forms 1099) and international tax compliance efforts.
- Secretary of State qualifications and compliance.
- BPOL (Business, Professional and Occupational License) filings and U.S. Census reporting (BEA).
- Unclaimed property reporting and related compliance activities.
- Monthly and annual tax provision work (ASC 740 / IAS 12) and tax account reconciliations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental processes and efficiency.
- Provide guidance to staff and review staff or peer work, ensuring high standards and accuracy across all deliverables.

What you know:You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related with relevant experience, and:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience related to tax at the public or industry level
- Advanced general accounting knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate income tax and regulatory compliance at the federal and state levels
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a proactive interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to optimize tax work and processes
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
