Full time 36 hours/week rotating shifts
The Base Supervisor is primarily responsible for the operational oversight of one of JeffSTAT’s remote bases. This includes supervising the staff assigned to the base to ensure they complete assigned duties and responsibilities effectively. The Base Supervisor works with other members of JeffSTAT’s management team to ensure the broader program goals and objectives are met. The Base Supervisor is scheduled for clinical shifts on the helicopters and ground ambulances. He or she is responsible for completing the duties and responsibilities listed in the critical care transport nurse job description during scheduled clinical shifts.
Completes scheduled air and gound clinical shifts; assists the Operations Manager and Director with the last minute coverage of JeffSTAT personnel who are sick and cannot report to workManages all aspects of the Air Methods charting system at the assigned base, including troubleshooting, quality assurance, and compliance with corporate standards.Participates in performance improvement initiatives, including the data collection processes and retrospective chart reviews. Co-chairs the performance improvement committee; conducts PI auditsCoorinates the repair of damaged medical equipment at the assigned base; works with Jefferson Biomed, Network Ambulance, and Air Methods to get this equipment repaired as expeditiously as possibleInteracts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
