Reports To: Senior Manager, Financial Systems
Location: San Jose, CA Remote
Salary Range: $91,500 to $172,000

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. ABOUT THE ROLE

CEI is seeking a highly motivated professional for the position of IT Business Systems Analyst. The analyst understands business processes and their related IT requirements, specifically as they relate to the Finance and Procurement systems. The Business Analyst drives the definition, optimization and improvement of new and existing business processes via development of business and functional requirements. The Business Analyst manages process compliance as appropriate (e.g. internal controls, regulatory requirements, other business process, etc.) including development and delivery of documentation and training material.

  • Collaborate with Finance & Procurement teams to identify operational needs and address system inefficiencies
  • Document and evaluate Finance processes in conjunction with JDE systems
  • Collect and validate business and technical requirements
  • Translate requirements into detailed technical documentation and specifications
  • Assist in the design of solutions, including data mapping and system integrations
  • Coordinate and oversee system testing, addressing any related issues
  • Address service requests & incidents in collaboration with the business, meeting defined SLAs
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement effective system solutions
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance policies and SOX compliance standards
  • Provide ongoing support and training for Finance & Procurement systems
  • Serve as an advisor to other analysts and developers


As the Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a conduit between business, IT, and external partners to collaborate on all JDE related requirements, process, documentation, and training. The Analyst will participate in strategy discussions to understand and capture high level business needs and deliver detailed functional specification documents for signoff in preparation for development.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced professional with a full understanding of systems architecture concepts and methodologies, application platforms and their application, and knowledge of infrastructure platforms and their application. The ideal candidate has an understanding of the following: how a company manages projects and jobs while tracking costs and revenues, cost code structure associated with jobs and projects, analysis and reports to help manage projects and jobs, how to recognize and record profit or loss throughput a project or job. You have experience in the following JD Edwards Modules: General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Procurement & Subcontract Management, Contract & Service Billing, and Service Work Orders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Procurement, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for degree).
  • Over 15 years as a business systems analyst supporting finance systems.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or related industries is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of system implementation lifecycles and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with SOX and data privacy standards is preferred.


EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, Management Information Systems (MIS), or an equivalent field is required. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree.
