The successful candidate will join the Market and Static Data Services (MOSS) function as a Developer.
Design and build systems for MOSS CDS Reference data maintenance and distribution; drive full project life cycle until delivery and provide development and Level 3 production support thereafter.
Design, develop and lead development of integrated applications using Java, J2EE (EJB, MDB, JMS, JSP), Database (Oracle), Middleware (TIBCO EMS), Business Works, Cache (Coherence) and Web technologies.
Enhance automation & increase the utilization of automated solutions, code review tools like SONAR. Build out a strong testing module using continuous integration, automated code review & in-depth test utility to move the team into next generation.
Deliver projects in a fast-paced environment and work with different analytic and technology groups to produce high quality solutions in a timely manner.
Provide level III support to trading desk and research group as required
Basic qualifications
Education: Bachelor's /Master's Degree in Science or Engineering.
At least 5 years Java server-side experience, hard-core knowledge of Java, design patterns. Familiarity with Java VM architecture and extensive knowledge of system optimization and performance tuning.
- Core Java Developer whom have significant exposure to Test Automation, Maven, and Junit.
- Candidate should have strong python scripting skills. Experience with Maven or Gradle is criticial.
- Must have experience with SVN or GIT.
- Solid background in component and object oriented programming/design.
- Proficient in J2EE, Message-oriented-middleware, XML, Web presentation technologies, Database programming (Oracle/Sybase/UDB), SQL and Stored Procedures.
- Extensive Knowledge of Linux, Networking, Messaging technologies required.
- Experience with Maven, JUNIT, SONAR, test automation is a must
- Good analytical skill and critical thinking skills.
- Quick learner with excellent communication and organization skills.
- Energetic and motivated, willing to take on challenging tasks, capable of working independently or in a team setting to deliver solutions under tight deadlines.
