JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Java/J2EE Specialist to support the design, development, and enhancement of critical applications within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users and technology teams to deliver solutions supporting trade analytics, pooling and securitization, trade capture, reporting, reconciliation, and mortgage-related business processes. This role requires strong expertise in Java technologies, Spring Framework, relational databases, software development best practices, and financial domain knowledge, particularly within the mortgage sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
• Design and develop applications supporting trade analytics, pooling and securitization, trade capture, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Perform application development, system enhancements, prototyping, and technical solution design.
• Provide high-level technical consultation and recommendations to business and technology teams.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions within aggressive project timelines.
• Analyze system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Predict and assess the impact of configuration and system changes across integrated applications.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable Java/J2EE-based applications.
• Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
• Resolve production issues and support ad-hoc business requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, application modernization efforts, and process enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• 7-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, integrating, and testing software solutions using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Strong experience with:

- Core Java

- Servlets

- Java Server Pages (JSP)

- JDBC

- Spring Framework
• 7-10 years of experience working with relational databases, including:

- Sybase

- SQL Server

- MySQL

- DB2
• Strong SQL development, database design, and query optimization experience.

• 3-5 years of experience designing and executing automated unit tests using:
