Job Summary
We are seeking a Java Developer with strong automation testing experience who will spend the majority of their time developing software while also contributing meaningfully to automated testing. The role requires hands-on experience building applications and features, developing APIs and backend services, and writing automation code as part of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will take ownership of software quality while maintaining a strong developer-focused skill set.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and features using Java.
• Develop backend services and APIs using object-oriented programming principles.
• Build and execute automated tests to validate application functionality and quality.
• Develop automation code rather than primarily executing predefined test scripts.
• Integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and address quality issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Take ownership of application quality while maintaining a primary focus on software development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development and test automation practices.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
• Proven experience building applications and software features rather than focusing exclusively on test scripts.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience developing APIs, backend services, and application components.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and automation framework development.
• Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and JMeter, or comparable technologies.
• Ability to write and maintain automation code.
• Experience integrating automated testing into software development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work as a software developer who takes ownership of application quality rather than functioning primarily in a QA-focused role.
