Job Summary:
The Automation/Quality Software Engineer (SDET) will support the development and delivery of high-quality digital applications by designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests. The role will contribute to automation, continuous integration, test data ecosystems, application quality, and stability while collaborating with engineering and development teams throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong test automation experience, a test-first mindset, and the ability to work effectively in Agile environments while adopting modern technologies and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using industry-standard practices and tools.
• Develop automated tests covering functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Contribute to automation, continuous integration, and test data ecosystems.
• Apply test-driven and automation-driven software development methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion continuous improvement in application quality, stability, and test automation.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing into delivery workflows.
• Develop rapid prototypes and technical solutions to address business and customer needs.
• Measure, collect, and analyze data to support technical and quality-related decisions.
• Participate in Agile Sprint and Kanban teams and contribute to project execution.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to apply them to business and technical challenges.
• Take ownership of solution quality and contribute to overall delivery outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience developing test automation using Java or a similar programming language.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proven experience writing automated tests for functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or ClearCase.
• Technical proficiency with technologies such as SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Sprint or Kanban methodologies.
• Experience with modern testing frameworks and a test-first development approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Experience with Docker and cloud technologies such as EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFront, and on-demand instances.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, Selenium, or Protractor.
• Experience with PHP and Drupal 9.
• Hands-on experience with API design and development and microservices architecture.
• Experience with UI and UX design.
• Experience working on customer-facing products.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
