Responsibilities

The Integrated Work Control (IWC) Division is looking for a Supervisor II to supervise work control implementation and work planners in support of the PULSE Maintenance Planning Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Maintenance and R&D Planning Manager, the PULSE Maintenance Planning Supervisor serves as the subject matter expert for work planning & control requirements in support of the maintenance work across the PULSE facility at the NNSS.
  • Supervise daily operations and PULSE Maintenance work planners.
  • Establish planner work assignments and/or projects and directs activity level work document (ALWD) planning.
  • Participate in Facility and Project Meetings and provides status and updates to stakeholders.
  • Support Nuclear Facility Work Management Center and participates in Facility T0-T12 Schedule meetings to provide status and updates of assigned activities.
  • Interface with PULSE Maintenance Management to ensure proper prioritization of work planning activities.
  • Responsible to manage PULSE Maintenance departments job plan inventory ensuring compliance with all work control requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring PULSE Maintenance Planning is compliant with the Integrated Work Control Process.
  • Responsible to ensure activity level work documents (ALWDs) meet quality standards.
  • Provide continuous feedback to employees and perform employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible to track, coordinate, and provide status updates to the Maintenance and R&D Planning Manager regarding the development of PULSE Maintenance ALWDs.
  • Responsible to monitor performance against metrics and goals as established/approved by Maintenance and R&D Planning Manager.
  • Prepare reports and graphs to illustrate work performed and work forecasted.
  • Coach and mentor planners as needed to maintain professionalism, morale and performance.
  • Participate in Integrated Work Control Division process improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for the enforcement of institutional work planning processes, requirements, and process improvements.
  • Provide supervisory engagement to mitigate issues and remove roadblocks.
  • Responsible to create and maintain a proactive, and professional work environment which encourages and supports employee engagement, feedback, and ownership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
  • Experience in planning and/or work control within Maintenance.
  • IBM Maximo experience.
  • Possess planning and organizing skills.
  • Possess strong, communication, interpersonal and emotional intelligence to work effectively with various stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate the compacity to maintain confidentiality regarding communications with IWC Management.
  • Previous experience in work control within the Department of Energy is preferred.
  • The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
    • Position may require regular travel to forward areas of the NNSS.
    • Regular attendance on site within the reporting location is required.
  • Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday - Thursday (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Annual salary range for this position is: $103,480.00 - $165,568.00.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
