OverviewResponsible for maintaining and supporting the integrity of enterprise computer systems and applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Administers, installs, and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems and virtualization environments.
- Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance.
- Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades.
- Configures software and resolves technical problems.
- Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements.
- Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
- Escalation point for IT Operational issues related to server infrastructure environments.
- Use system orchestration tools and techniques to facilitate automated and consistent configurations, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices within the network.
- Identify and resolve issues by troubleshooting local and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain connectivity and virtual connections to public clouds such as Azure and AWS.
- Work with others in creating system strategy and architecture.
- Communicate with network users as needed.
Experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and five (5) to ten (10) years of customer-facing support experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in network design and administration.
- Experience working with WAN and SD-WAN implementation.
- Experience working with Azure network design and implementation.
- Experience working with Cisco network equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of the following technologies:
- Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022/2025
- Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, Microsoft SCCM or Endpoint Management (Intune), Azure Arc
- Azure, EntraID, and Azure Automation.
- VMware and Hyper-V virtualization
- PowerShell
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate task management priorities and issues.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, including the ability to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
- Ability to influence and motivate others.
