IT System Specialist - SAP Basis

Your role :

Do you enjoy taking on challenges and contributing to high-impact projects? This position places you at the heart of the organization's strategic technology operations. Your mission: ensure the robustness, reliability, and availability of the applications and Data Bases with a priority on the Production and participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, support, Obsoleteness management and improvement of technical solutions that enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives

We need you for :

Design
  • Participate in architectural design, system specifications, cost, and timeline estimation for the different implementations
  • Participate in the recommendation of solutions and/or changes to improve performance, stability, functionality, or system management processes


Implementation
  • Contribute to the implementation of new products and ensure the integration of newer concepts to stay up to date with industrial standards
  • Participate in defining of test strategy and perform product testing to ensure the product quality is maintained
  • Collaborate with the different project teams to implement solutions utilizing industry best practices to ensure usability, scalability, and maintainability
  • Enforce security best practices


Run & Maintain
  • Day to day administration including performance tuning and ensure system availability
  • Provide support to technical queries and assist with user incidents
  • Monitor the health of the systems and proactively investigate or resolve potential issues that could put the business operation at risk
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including system upgrades and environments patching, to ensure solutions remain secure, compliant, up-to-date, and stable.
  • Offer after-hours support for activities as needed (ex: system maintenance) and be on call to provide 24/7 emergency assistance to the business.


What do you need to possess for being successful?
  • 3+ years of experience administering and maintaining IT applications/DB
  • Experience Patching/upgrading applications/ Databases
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems
  • Comfortable working in a bilingual environment (French and English) to communicate verbally and in writing with your international colleagues and partners
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Self-driven and solution-oriented
