**This position is part of a planned Transfer of Function (TOF) from the Missile Defense Agency to theDepartment of the Army. This action is projected to be effective on or about October 1, 2026**As a IT Specialist (Security) at the NH-2210-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) and develop all necessary artifacts (System Security Planning, System Categorization, System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action & Milestone (POA&M) and Cyber scorecard) on key components of the Missile Defense Agency Enterprise Networks.
- Ensure the Cybersecurity, Resiliency, Survivability, Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of systems, networks and data, IAW DoD Instructions 8500.01 and 8510.01 and other applicable OMB, DoD, CNSS, NIST and Agency publications.
- Manage the Local Control Center (LCC/Tier III) activities and collaborate with the MDA (Tier II) Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) to monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor the Cyber Tasking Order (CTO) program and coordinate with administrators on CTO requirements and reporting to include incident response with MDA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).

- May require Security Cooperation Certification IAW 10 U.S. Code (U.S.C.) section 384, "Department of Defense security cooperation workforce development.
- This position is designated as an Information Assurance Workforce/Cybersecurity position and requires certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.
QualificationsYou may qualify at the NH03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 4 specialized experience listed below to be qualified:
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) techniques, policies, and procedures on DOD networks, weapons systems and/or mission support systems.
- Experience applying leadership principles in order to maximize team performance and retain and recruit a quality workforce.
- Experience identifying threats and vulnerabilities of computer system(s) and developing Plans of Action and Milestones(POA&Ms).
- Experience implementing continuous improvement of the cyber risk posture of the system portfolio within budget, technical, and schedule constraints.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This is an Information Assurance Workforce/Cybersecurity position coded Level Intermediate in the CS-722 Information System Security Manager Category. Must have at the time of permanent appointment or achiever within 6 months of Entry on Duty (EOD) the appropriate baseline certification In Accordance With (IAW) Department of Defense (DoD) 8570.01-M. Must acquire continuing education requirements IAW the governing body for their certification. Certification must be maintained as long as the employee remains in the position.
