Summary

This position serves as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Service Delivery Staff, End-User Support Services, IT Asset and Inventory Management in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of enterprise IT assets and systems, ensuring accountability, security, and organization, while leading asset management, audit compliance, and stakeholder coordination activities to support mission.

The duties and responsibilities for a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Assists in identifying, assessing, and documenting deploy and return of IT assets.
  2. Assists in the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise hardware and software systems.
  3. Maintains configuration management records and system baselines by documenting hardware, software, and configuration changes.
  4. Manages the IT asset lifecycle by maintaining accurate inventories, supporting audits, resolving discrepancies.
  5. Coordinating provisioning, maintenance, and disposition in compliance with organizational and federal requirements.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), at GS-2210-13, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.

Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.

AND

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:

1. Manages and maintains IT asset inventories.

2. Supports asset audits and reconciliations.

3. Coordinates asset maintenance and disposition activities.
