Summary

You will be a hands-on Power Platform Specialist responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and related Microsoft 365 technologies. In addition, you will serve as the SharePoint Online Administrator responsible for the administration, governance, support, and enhancement of the Agency's SharePoint Online environment.

As a Power Platform Specialist, you will serve as the hands-on technical lead and subject matter expert for Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online. Specific duties include:

  • Designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Microsoft Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze business processes, identify automation opportunities, define functional and technical requirements, and implement Power Platform solutions.
  • Administering, configuring, and supporting the Agency's SharePoint Online environment, including site collections, permissions, information architecture, content management, and collaboration features.
  • Developing and maintaining technical standards, governance practices, procedures, and best practices for Microsoft Platform and SharePoint Online.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the VH-39 (GS-13) band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-38 (GS-12) band in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position; examples include:

  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise business applications, workflow automation solutions, and reporting capabilities using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Experience developing solutions that support complex business processes, integrating with multiple data sources and/or enterprise systems, and adhering to established security, governance, and lifecycle management practices.
  • Experience administering, configuring, and supporting enterprise SharePoint Online environments.
  • Experience managing permissions and security, information architecture, governance, and operational support.


In addition to the specialized experience requirements listed above for each grade level, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Current and former Federal employees (including VEOA eligibles) must have served one-year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade in the Federal service to meet time-in-grade restrictions per 5 CFR 300, Subpart F, by the closing date of the announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for experience to qualify for the VH-39.
