This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for an experienced integration engineer who has a track record of stabilizing and improving complex, cross-system data flows. The right candidate brings technical depth in enterprise integration and event-driven architecture, and the judgment to operate as the escalation point when production systems break.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and maintain integration solutions connecting production surveillance, artificial lift, SCADA, well test, and production accounting systems
- Develop and manage APIs and message-based services to enable reliable data exchange across upstream and downstream operational systems
- Enterprise integration platform - monitoring, patching, certificate management, and lifecycle upgrades for message brokers, API management, caching, logging, and .NET Core services
- Design and support real-time eventing and alerting solutions, including bringing new systems online as alert sources and building composite validation across operations platforms
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex data anomalies spanning application, integration, and data layers
- Assess and re-platform brittle or legacy integrations, including those disrupted by merger and acquisition activity
- Work closely with business analysts and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Administer Linux and Docker environments supporting containerized integration workloads
- Automate repetitive tasks and enhance system efficiency through scripting and workflow automation
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Document system architectures, integration patterns, configurations, and development processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years leading architecture or design for enterprise integrations
- Proficiency in software development using .NET / C#, with working knowledge of Python
- Demonstrated experience with event-driven and message-based architecture using a broker such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus
- Knowledge of API design and integration, including RESTful services, API management platforms, and certificate/TLS management
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server, including performance troubleshooting across integrated systems
- Working proficiency with Linux and container technologies (Docker), including deployment and troubleshooting of containerized services
- Proven track record as an escalation point for production systems, including root-cause analysis of cross-system data discrepancies
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, and Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oil and gas upstream domain experience
- Familiarity with SCADA and historian data flows, and with platforms such as XSPOC, ProCount, or comparable production surveillance and accounting systems
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
- Experience integrating systems through merger, acquisition, or divestiture events under compressed timelines
- Experience with container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and building internal tooling
- Background in observability and alerting design for real-time operational environments
