Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Position:

Under direction, serves as the senior on-site Enterprise Information Technology Systems (EITS) leader and strategic representative for their assigned health care setting(s) and drives operational excellence by coordinating with Service Line Directors on EITS operations and projects, ensuring alignment with Systems policies and procedures. Develops and maintains executive-level partnership with health care settings and Central Office leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides administrative oversight for day-to-day EITS operational activities within the health care setting and acts as the local point of contact and feedback channel for Infrastructure Service Line Directors.
2. Leads and/or supports the local rollout of EITS systems, upgrades, and pilot projects, ensuring timely communication, training, and implementation.
3. Collaborates with Enterprise Operations Center, Enterprise Service Desk and EITS Service Lines teams to address all major outages and service disruptions, ensuring timely resolution.
4. Provides leadership during critical incidents, operational disruptions, and emergency events by coordinating communication, escalation, and resolution efforts between enterprise IT teams and facility leadership.
5. Serves as a member of various leadership committees at the health care setting including the Information Technology (IT) Governance Committee, and attends Infrastructure meetings to evaluate, plan and coordinate the effective delivery and maintenance of all EITS services.
6. Serves as the local point of contact for health care setting executive leadership and attends regular meetings to gather feedback, discuss concerns, and provide updates on EITS related projects.
7. Serves as a advisor to facility executive leadership on technology operations, enterprise initiatives, service delivery, operational continuity, and strategic planning, while maintaining close collaboration and alignment with EITS leadership, enterprise standards, and system-wide strategic objectives.
8. Assists with evaluating new technologies for specific service lines, while considering resource availability and financial constraints, as needed.
9. Participates in all appropriate Central Office and local EITS Department meetings, including Change Advisory Board, Problem Vetting Meeting, Infrastructure Meeting Security & Risk Management Meeting, Site Director's Meeting, etc.
10. Provides oversight of health care setting EITS budget and assists EITS leadership with budget-related requests.
11. Works with EITS teams to identify, track, and improve health care setting service level metrics and user satisfaction scores; establishes structured mechanisms, including quarterly feedback forums or surveys, to gather end-user input and continuously improve service delivery.
12. Manages junior staff and/or health care setting-based EITS liaisons including overseeing staff schedules. Ensures that performance evaluations and all required staff trainings are completed in a timely fashion. Coordinates or provides trainings on EITS systems and tools.
13. Supports security review and Electronic Health Record access for auditors.
14. Performs other related duties, as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Hospital Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration or in a related discipline; and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, health and/or medical service administration, including three (3) years in a managerial position as the departmental head of electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis or development, or programing; or,
2. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines as listed in 1 above or in a related discipline; and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience, including five (5) years in a managerial position as the departmental head of electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis or development, or programing; or,
3. Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in disciplines as listed in 1 above or in a related discipline.
