The Role

Blitzy is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to serve as a frontline technical resource for our growing team. In this role, you'll handle day-to-day service desk tickets, support new hire onboarding, and manage end-user access across our core business applications. You'll also play a role in higher-level projects, including MDM rollouts, VPN configuration, RBAC implementation, and office buildouts, working closely with cross-functional teams to keep Blitzy running smoothly as we scale.

What Success Looks Like

  • Employees receive fast, reliable Tier 1 support in person and remotely, consistently meeting SLA targets
  • New hires are onboarded smoothly, with all accounts, devices, and application access provisioned on time
  • Internal documentation is thorough, current, and easy for the team to reference
  • Design-level decisions on infrastructure and security projects are informed by your input and follow-through
  • Cross-team relationships are strong, with IT viewed as a proactive, trusted partner across the business

Areas of Ownership

  • Day-to-day service desk ticket management and resolution
  • Okta administration and general employee services support
  • New hire onboarding, including account provisioning and application access
  • Management and troubleshooting of network stacks, both wired and wireless
  • Support and administration of MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune) across Mac and Windows devices
  • On-site hardware support for offices, meetings, and events
  • Participation in design-level decisions for infrastructure projects, including MDM rollouts, VPN, and RBAC implementation
  • Support for office buildouts and related IT infrastructure needs
  • Creation and maintenance of internal IT documentation

Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support or service desk role
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience supporting Mac, Windows, and Linux computers in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, and JIRA
  • Experience with MDM tools such as Jamf and Intune
  • Basic wired and wireless network troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50 lbs or more
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working across multiple concurrent projects
  • A proactive, self-directed approach to identifying and resolving issues

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, JAMF Certified Admin, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator)
  • Experience with Meraki and AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
  • Prior involvement in multi-team projects such as MDM rollouts, VPN deployments, or RBAC implementations
  • A demonstrated willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building relationships across teams

What Makes This Role Different

This isn't a purely reactive help desk role. At Blitzy, you'll have a direct hand in shaping the systems and infrastructure our team relies on every day, from MDM strategy to office buildouts. You'll work in a fast-moving environment where your input on design-level decisions actually matters, and where solving problems proactively is valued as much as fixing what's already broken.
