About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with expertise in Development, Modernization, Enhancement (DME), Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to support the Federal Program. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives supporting application modernization, operational excellence, system enhancements, and continuous process improvement. This role is responsible for managing project execution, operational performance, stakeholder engagement, and business transformation initiatives while ensuring successful delivery of program objectives and compliance with Federal IT standards.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource planning while providing regular status updates and recommendations to Government stakeholders.
  • Develop and present project status reports, executive dashboards, and performance metrics covering project progress, operational KPIs, system health, risks, issues, release readiness, and change request status for Government stakeholders.
  • Oversee release management, Change Advisory Board (CAB), and production deployment activities, ensuring changes are reviewed, approved, communicated, and implemented with minimal operational impact.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management activities, coordinating root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and continuous service improvements for production systems.
  • Monitor and report operational performance metrics, including SLA compliance, system availability, MTTR, ticket trends, backlog, and customer satisfaction (CSAT), while driving performance improvements.
  • Lead Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives by facilitating stakeholder workshops, documenting As-Is and To-Be business processes, identifying process improvements, and recommending automation and modernization opportunities.
  • Coordinate operational readiness activities, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, production support, disaster recovery, operational documentation, and knowledge management.
  • Manage production support resources, vendor coordination, and on-call support, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues and compliance with contractual SLAs and service commitments.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, business teams, technical teams, and vendors to support modernization initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with Federal IT governance, security, and ITIL best practices
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience
  • Experience with ITIL service management practices and SLA governance is nice to have

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen

 

Location: Rockville, MD

 

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – must work onsite at McLean, VA (1 day remote)
