Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

This role centers on solving the complex engineering challenges of automating software development, release, operations, and maintenance across the entire platform ecosystem. The selected leader will eliminate architectural bottlenecks by defining and executing a modern platform strategy that drives continuous improvements in scalability, reliability, and usability. Additionally, managing 24x7 mission-critical services while coaching engineering managers across multiple locations requires balancing high-tempo delivery with long-term technological innovation.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
  • Drive the overall strategy, planning, and delivery of platform services to ensure maximum value and seamless performance for customers
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle using agile and DevOps methodologies to optimize continuous delivery pipelines and code quality
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering directors to create and execute a forward-looking digital roadmap
  • Coach, mentor, and foster career development for engineering managers and staff across multiple geographical locations
  • Champion the continuous improvement of performance, scalability, and availability of the platform using modern automation tools
  • Integrate AI application strategies to automate routine operations and enhance predictive system monitoring

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)
  • Extensive experience leading and scaling high-performing platform, cloud, or DevOps engineering teams
  • Deep technical expertise in platform architecture, service-oriented systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure including AWS, Docker, and EKS
  • Proven capability in designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, 24x7 mission-critical systems to resolve complex business requirements
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills to build consensus and maintain relationships across diverse engineering teams and partners
  • Demonstrated mastery of infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration tools, specifically Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, or GitLab
  • Advanced AI literacy to evaluate and adopt AI-driven automation and tools that optimize developer experience and system operations

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and customer-facing web application optimization

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in software engineering and 4 years of experience leading platform, cloud, or DevOps teams Must have at least 5 years of experience with:
    • Java or Python production environments
    • Docker, EKS, and AWS cloud engineering
    • GitLab or Jenkins continuous integration environments
    • Terraform or CloudFormation infrastructure-as-code tooling
    • Monitoring tools (Dynatrace)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $160,000.00/Year
