Position Overview4Creeks is looking for a self-starter to own our IT operations as the single face of IT for all staff, with high ownership of the environment and support to drive improvements. This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You'll walk the floor, set up workstations, troubleshoot hardware in person, deploy conference room systems, and make sure every office feels well-supported. Our MSP handles remote support, ticketing, and Level 1 - your value is being present, approachable, and hands-on. Reports to the Operations Manager. Co-managed IT environment supporting 200+ staff across Visalia, Clovis, San Luis Obispo, Tulare, Hanford, and Denver, CO.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncludes, but not limited to:
- In-Person Staff Support
- Primary onsite IT resource across Central California offices - troubleshoot, deploy, and configure hardware in person (desktops, laptops, monitors, docks, printers, peripherals, conference room/A/V)
- Workstation deployments, replacements, and desk setups (including hotel desks)
- Deliver a great first-day experience for new hires with equipment ready
- MSP & Vendor Management
- Own the MSP relationship - set expectations; they execute remote support
- Primary contact for key software vendor account managers - track contracts, licensing, seat counts, and coordinate renewals
- Procurement & Asset Management
- Manage IT equipment inventory, purchasing, and supplies - keep asset tracking current and upload expense receipts
- Enterprise Software & Training
- Application champion for enterprise tools (M365, intranet, cloud storage, collaboration software) - run training and serve as the go-to for software questions
- Infrastructure, Security & Projects
- Lead major IT projects with the MSP - software rollouts, server purchases, new office setups, security upgrades
- Maintain network infrastructure and manage security/accounts (Entra ID, M365, Active Directory)
- o Identify cross-team improvements (ticketing, software use, onboarding)
- Documentation & Reporting
- Document systems, processes, and resolutions; provide weekly updates to People Operations
- Additional
- Occasional after-hours support and project work; no direct reports - you coordinate the MSP, not run their help desk
What We're Looking ForNo degree or year requirements. If this sounds like a fit, we want to hear from you. Bring hands-on experience with:
- In-person hardware troubleshooting
- You've resolved issues at the desk and in the field, not just remotely
- Computer deployment tools and processes
- Imaging, provisioning, and getting machines into users' hands efficiently
- Identity management
- How Entra ID, M365, and on-prem AD work together - managing users, groups, and policies across them
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Mailboxes, licensing, Teams, SharePoint, day-to-day tenant management
- Networking fundamentals
- Enough to troubleshoot connectivity and have informed conversations with the MSP
- Vendor and contract management
- o Software renewals, license tracking, and vendor relationships
IT admin or MSP backgrounds will feel at home. ImmyBot or ConnectWise experience is a plus.
Key SupportOur MSP handles 24/7 monitoring, unlimited remote Level 1-4 support, patching, virus/firewall management, and cloud/server backup and recovery (including Azure Backup).
Our printer vendor handles support, maintenance, and repairs for copiers, scanners, and plotters across our central California offices.
CompensationThe salary will be determined by the candidate's skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. The benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for dependents), company 401(k) contribution, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and performance bonuses. The expected pay range for this position is $35/hr to $40/hr.
