You will work with business and technology leaders to build scalable, secure, and modern integration solutions that support critical organizational functions while driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

  • Define and maintain the enterprise integration architecture with a strong emphasis on Workday.

  • Establish integration patterns, standards, and best practices (APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, etc.).

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align integration strategy with organizational goals.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance integration capabilities.

Workday Integration Leadership

  • Design and oversee Workday integrations using technologies such as:

    • Workday Studio

    • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)

    • Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)

    • Core Connectors (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials)

  • Lead integration efforts across Workday modules (HCM, Financials, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.).

  • Ensure data consistency, security, and compliance across all Workday integrations.

Delivery & Implementation

  • Collaborate with developers and vendors to implement integration solutions.

  • Provide hands-on guidance in building, testing, and deploying integrations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues and performance bottlenecks.

  • Oversee data transformations, mappings, and orchestration workflows.

Governance & Security

  • Define integration governance, including documentation standards and lifecycle management.

  • Ensure integrations comply with security policies, data privacy regulations, and audit requirements.

  • Manage versioning, monitoring, and alerting strategies for integrations.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Workday integrations across the organization.

  • Mentor integration developers and engineers.

  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Security, and external partners.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Who you are

Education & Training

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant professional experience)

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture or development.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations.

Knowledge/Skills

Strong expertise in:

  • Integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, etc.)

  • API design and management (REST/SOAP)

  • Data formats (XML, JSON, XSLT)

Experience designing scalable, secure integration solutions in cloud environments.

Strong understanding of HRIS and/or Financial systems integration.

  • Workday certifications (Studio, Integration, or related areas).

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues.

  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) and data security best practices.

  • Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems (e.g., payroll providers, benefits vendors, ERP systems).

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integrations.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to operate with little supervision in fast paced and complex environments.

  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.

Compensation Range:

$104,540.80 - $125,448.96 - $146,357.12/salary

This compensation range represents the minimum, midpoint and maximum pay for this position. Individual offers will be based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and experience. Please note that most offers for new employees fall under the midpoint of the range, allowing room for continued salary growth. Base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which may also include comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off and incentive compensation (bonus) potential.
