Target Hiring Pay Range: $85,200 - $127,800

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Center Parc Credit Union (CPCU) to live out our Mission, "To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service." The Manager of Core Banking Technical Services is responsible for the strategic management, delivery, and continuous improvement of the credit union's core banking system(s). This includes overseeing the technical services, programing, capabilities, applications, automated solutions, and operational processes that support Symitar and related platforms

- Optimize and maintain the performance, stability, and efficiency of the Symitar core banking system and related automation tools.
- Oversee daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of core automation processes (e.g., OpCon), ensuring reliable and efficient workflow execution.
- Establish and maintain processes, procedures, and best practices for system testing, integration testing, testing of contingency plans, validation, and analysis of test results, including required control measures.
- Maintain a structured review cycle for departmental procedures, automated workflows, and documentation supporting system changes, product deployments, programming support, and updates.
- Translate business, product, and project requirements into effective core system solutions while considering technical, scheduling, programming, continuity, and cost constraints.
- Evaluate internal projects for impacts to processes, system capabilities, and integrations; identify risks and recommend modifications, enhancements, or contingency plans.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among IS program management, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure successful system integrations, reporting, data flows, and overall functionality.
- Ensure all technical specifications for projects-including integrations, automations, and system modifications and programming needs are clearly defined, documented, and approved.
- Implement and maintain efficient methods for developing, updating, and storing technical documentation for system configurations, customizations, and integrations
- Manage departmental activities related to process setup, parameter configuration, file transfers, system maintenance, and resolution of failed or incomplete jobs.
- Oversee system maintenance cycles, validation testing, Symitar releases, service pack upgrades, and automation updates.
- Ensure timely monitoring and resolution of Core Services tickets related to Symitar, automation, ARCU, Synergy, and related systems.
- Report routinely to senior leadership to provide feedback and opinions on whether core banking systems, processes, and procedures are in place to adequately identify and analyze overall risks and business continuity capabilities.
- Assign team members as project coordinators or liaisons between vendors, IS, and credit union leadership.
- Provide input on training needs to support employee proficiency with applications and tools.
- Foster cross-functional communication to identify, prioritize, and support core system integration needs and projects; Provide oversight for multiple simultaneous projects or programming efforts
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for the IS program management team and Symitar operations team members.
- Participate in external audits, bank examinations, and NCUA reviews as required.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, technical aptitude, and commitment to ongoing development.
- Maintain credibility and positive relationships across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders; Effectively communicating core system initiatives and a positive message about the Credit Union.

- Attend ongoing training as needed, including on and off-site workshops, conferences, and webinars.

- Provides input into IS budget plans and project estimates.
- Travel overnight or to other APCU locations as required; non-standard work hours may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages a staff of 8-14 programmers, program analysts, automations solutions architects, and integration specialists. Also achieves objectives through indirect reporting relationships or through a matrixed management approach collaboratively interacting with internal and external partners.

REQUIRED Education and/or Experience:- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, computer engineering, related field, or an additional 3 years of related progressive IS work experience in lieu of degree
- 3 to 5 years or experience in IT engineering leadership
- Strong understanding of integrations patterns such as APIs, event driven architectures, batch/ETL, middleware, and data transformation
- Experience designing for reliability and observability (monitoring, alerting, tracing/logging, etc.)
PREFFERED Education and/or Experience:- 3 to 5 years of solid technical background in Symitar (Jack Henry) integrations and automations
- Knowledge of integration with banking data domains (member profiles, accounts, transactions, cards, loans, servicing, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or hybrid architectures
- Agile Certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent)
Physical Job Requirements:Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 20 pounds.
