Full Job Description
Everforth ECS is seeking an IT Engineer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

We are seeking a highly motivated IT professional who will support a Senior Engineer to configure, implement, deploy and train on full scale computer systems globally. The IT Engineer will initially be responsible for the configuration and deployment of computer desktop systems at overseas locations, primarily in underdeveloped countries in Africa and Asia.

Strong documentation is a large part of this position as well as the support of logistical efforts and procurements. Installation and configuration of the client side software as well as integration of users into the active directory domain and or Microsoft Intune will be included in the responsibilities for this position. Future responsibilities will expand to support the design and configuration of the standard network infrastructure at these overseas locations.

The IT Professional will work remotely and from Fairfax, VA offices as needed and must travel overseas for client installations and training support. This international travel requires an active passport (or ability to get one). The candidate must be willing and comfortable with travel to some of the most underdeveloped countries in the world.
  • Recommending and designing desktop environments based on the latest available hardware technologies
  • Creating a stable, robust, secure desktop using M365 in-tune, that is compliant with patching policies
  • Adding, removing users in Active Directory
  • Managing GPO from end-user perspective
  • Managing the installation of Antivirus agents
  • Managing patch management with WSUS Patch Manager in Active Directory
  • Creating Update Rings and Auto Patch rings in Microsoft 365
  • Staging systems in Fairfax, VA for installation and configuration
  • Documenting a step-by-step workstation deployment process and continually update existing documentation
  • Configure and install WiFi Access Points
  • Configure and install IP based Security Cameras
  • Training IT staff overseas on process to deploy images
  • Assisting on deployments overseas
  • Assisting with hardware and software procurements and inventory management
  • Packing and shipping systems and coordinating with international customs as needed
  • Registering all procured software with vendors
  • Assisting with maintaining a Prototype of the Standard IT Infrastructure in Fairfax, VA offices
  • Maintain backup system and log backups in the Fairfax lab
  • Upgrade and modify software and hardware as needed in the Fairfax lab


  • Experience with Active Directory supporting clients Group Policy, DNS, File and Print service management
  • Microsoft 365 end user administration experience
    • Deploying and Managing workstations with Intune
    • Managing workstations with M365 Defender AV
    • Updating workstations with M365 update rings and auto patch
    • One Drive management
    • Conditional access Policy experience
  • Microsoft 365 collaboration
    • Supporting Email / exchange
    • Supporting Teams/ SharePoint
  • Strong Windows update and Patching skills for physical servers
  • Experience with Sophos endpoint protection antivirus (or other AV) systems is a plus
  • Experience with WiFi Access Point deployment and support (Ubiquiti experience is a plus)
  • Experience with Security Camera deployment and support (Ubiquiti experience is a plus)
  • Must be willing to learn new systems
  • Must be capable of working with vendor support to assist overseas teams on troubleshooting efforts if needed
  • Must remain knowledgeable on the latest IT trends
  • Experience with procurement and inventory
  • Experience managing within virtual environments - Nutanix / VMware, etc.. (Nutanix experience is a plus)
  • Experience with Asset and Inventory management
