Overview

What does the IT Director, Business & Revenue Cycle Systems do?

The IT Director, Business & Revenue Cycle Systems leads the team responsible for supporting Texas Oncology revenue cycle and business applications. The team provides application support, training, user provisioning and termination, and other operational services based on the needs of each system. The role also serves as the Technical Capability Owner (TCO) for Revenue Cycle and Business Systems, partnering with stakeholders to identify business needs, evaluate new products and technologies, prioritize enhancements, and develop capability roadmaps. This position also oversees QA and UAT for Salesforce and Genesys updates, upgrades, enhancements, and new Texas Oncology site implementations, as well as the TXO Connect Continuous Improvement program supporting TXO Connect. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and establish priorities for a team supporting revenue cycle and business applications.
  • Technical Capability Ownership (TCO): Partner with Revenue Cycle and operational leaders to evaluate new products, prioritize enhancements, define business requirements, and maintain business systems roadmaps.
  • Application Support: Oversee application administration, user support, troubleshooting, training, and implementation assistance.
  • User Access Management: Ensure timely and accurate user provisioning, access changes, transfers, and terminations.
  • QA and UAT: Oversee testing for Salesforce and Genesys updates, upgrades, enhancements, and new Texas Oncology site implementations.
  • TXO Connect Continuous Improvement: Lead TXO Connect continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow analysis, root cause analysis, process standardization, and implementation support.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with IT and operational leaders to improve processes, resolve issues, and support business priorities.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor team workload, service quality, risks, cross-training, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

Education (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience (Required)
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive IT and leadership experience in business systems, healthcare technology, revenue cycle operatins, or application support.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience leading teams responsible for application support, testing, access management, or process improvement.
  • Healthcare and revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong leadership and team-development skills.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, revenue cycle, or business applications.
  • Knowledge of application support, user access management, QA, and UAT.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions and enhancements.
