The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person.

Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13.
Specialized experience for this position includes:Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position Includes:
- Implementing risk management protection functions, including prevention, detection, and response measure; AND
- Developing security recommendations from assessments and awareness of current and emerging threats; AND
- Identifying vulnerabilities and applying appropriate security controls in cloud systems and data.

ENHANCED SECURITY REQUIREMENT: The incumbent of this position will need a Secret clearance to be ableto attend Secret briefings with other Department of Commerce and Department of Homeland Security entities to assess cyber threats and vulnerabilities that are Secret in nature.
