Role PurposeThis role consists of technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames in the manufacturing environment supporting a range of equipment including but not limited to, PCs, printers, servers, limited network/RF support. It encompasses both software and hardware systems which are required for the operation, maintenance and control of computer systems, as well as data acquisition, control, and analysis systems in high-speed, real-time environments, including data transfer mechanisms for client-server systems. This role also participates in projects contributing to the improvement of overall process and technical efficiency within the business.
Key Responsibilities- Performs the installation, modification, testing, and servicing on all internal/in-house data communications network equipment.
- Coordinate with necessary Operations teams and customers to enter and complete Change Requests for all work that affects IMS Infrastructure.
- Participates in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Assists in the recommendation and the development of technical standards.
- Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information / materials.
- Takes initiative to identify and propose remedies to problems.
- Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats.
- Interacts with peers, & one level above, to ensure continuity & efficiency.
- Interacts with Service Desk and other IT teams.
- Focus on safety at all times.
- Develops, tests, debugs S/W and/or H/W systems, components, tools and utilities required for the operation, maintenance and control of computer systems.
- Develops techniques for the design and implementation of complex data acquisition, control, and analysis systems in high-speed, real-time environments, including design, implementation of high-speed, robust data transfer mechanisms for client-server systems.
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Follows specific, detailed instructions. May be assigned to small projects or to phase(s) of larger projects. Contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks.
- Willing to be available for after-hours support and an on-call rotation as defined by the team for any of the position responsibilities listed above.
Experiences/Education - Required- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Technical knowledge on computer hardware, computer software, printers and peripheral equipment
- High level knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and topology
- High level knowledge of server management and OS support
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others
- Focus on safety for all tasks
- Effective organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $75,511.00 - $103,828.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
