Job Summary

Working in our IT Command Center requires a passion for technology, a commitment to continuous learning and vigilance to safeguard assets, both physical and virtual. You'll be at the forefront of technology monitoring, collaborating with highly motivated teams dedicated to analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying solutions to better monitor and fortifying our IT capabilities, reducing the Mean Time to Detect and Mean Time to Recover. Your attention to detail and quick decision making will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, capacity, and resilience of our products. Through collaboration with internal teams and tech experts across our network, you will make a difference to our Brand Partners and Customers.
As a member of our IT Command Center, you will join a worldwide group responsible for 24/7 monitoring and Incident Response, serving as the eyes and ears of the IT organization's infrastructure and applications. In your role as a shift analyst, your responsibilities encompass monitoring alerts generated by our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system and other monitoring tools, conducting initial investigations and escalating incidents as appropriate. Your quick decision making will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization reduces its mean time to detect incidents and reduce the impact to our internal associates, our Brand Partners, and our Customers.

Essential Job Functions:

IT Monitoring & Analysis - Responsible for proactively identifying IT incidents, making rapid decisions on the prioritization and impact of each incident, and taking steps to mitigate financial and reputational harm to Bread Financial. You will use industry standard IT monitoring tools and internal team runbooks, in addition to leveraging business and system knowledge, to properly action incidents in accordance with industry standard incident management frameworks and protocols. Perform basic testing as required to confirm network availability and resiliency.

Process Management - Assist with creating run books/process documentation and identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency. Demonstrate the sense of urgency and judgment needed to effectively identify potential incidents. Collaborate with tech experts across our network to develop monitoring solutions for known problems to ensure the availability of production systems.

Communication - Communicate general, technical, and operational reports or assessments to appropriate stakeholders at all levels, ability to synthesize technical data for delivery to non-technical audience. Properly document actions taken in systems of record. Respond to complex problems escalated by leadership. Represent the IT Command Center on critical or enterprise-wide environment issues.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

This role is shift based (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and supports a 24/7 operational environment. Shift could vary depending on the need of the business.

Normal office environment.

Some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

1+ year of experience working in a NOC, SOC or other operational environment.

Experience working in ServiceNow.

Experience working in Splunk.

Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or other industry-wide monitoring tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science or related field of study.

ITILv4 Foundations Certification.

CCNA Certification or similar.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Ability to multitask effectively and work with little to no supervision while performing duties
  • Provide clear and concise executive level communication and updates on status, issues, and risks
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Working understanding of ITIL processes
  • Effective organizational skills, time management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Azure and creating Splunk Dashboard  
  • Knowledge or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell etc.)

$29.75 - $53.95

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.


You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.



This job is eligible for $1.00/hr shift premium for hours worked between 5pm-6am and all weekend hours (given specific requirements are met).

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates, both full time and part time, can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Full-time hourly associates receive a bi-annual grant of Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in each January and July based on their service date and scheduled hours, whereas newly hired full time hourly associates in their first year of employment receive a prorated PTO grant on their 61st day of employment based on the month of hire and scheduled hours. Associates will receive a payout of any unused PTO, up to 40 hours, paid out in the next calendar year (except associates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana and Nebraska who are paid for all unused PTO). Additionally, hourly associates (except those in California) generally receive 72 hours of Paid Sick Leave Plus (“PSL+”) per calendar year, with a pro-rated grant in the associate’s first year of employment to the extent allowed by applicable law. If additional PSL+ is required in a particular jurisdiction, the company with comply with applicable law. Unused PSL+ does not carry over from one calendar year to the next unless required by applicable law. Instead of PSL+, hourly associates in California receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December.
