A DAY IN THE LIFE
Works in partnership with the Functional Leader, Business Unit Leader, or Business Process Owner to deliver business features using suitable technology. Possesses a strong desire to bring real world solutions to business needs, using some of the latest industry technologies that our end users and customers will love. Demonstrates a strong understanding of how to be a liaison between the business processes needs and technology, leveraging a Shared Service Model within IT to best support the business. Works directly with business leaders to vet, prioritize and deliver departmental and Enterprise-level features. Helps implement process improvement ideas stemming from business requests.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Own the relationship between Finance and IT. Partner directly with the Finance Leadership and Business Process Owners to turn accounting and finance priorities into work IT can actually deliver.
- Ensures IT Shared Services are engaged to meet the needs of the Business Process Teams.
- Prioritizes work during program planning in collaboration with the Business Process Owner or Leader.
- Own the technology roadmap that delivers Finance's. Translate Finance leadership's multi-year priorities into a sequenced IT delivery roadmap across general ledger, job cost, billing, and payroll, and keep IT Shared Services, vendors, and business leaders pulling in the same direction.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Information Technology Management, or related field, or a combination of related education and work experience. Construction or renewable energy experience preferred.
- 7 or more years as an IT Business Partner, Process/Product Manager, Delivery Lead, or Finance Systems Manager, working on enterprise processes with IT components.
- 5 or more years with the financial modules of a major ERP. JD Edwards strongly preferred. Oracle, SAP, Workday, Dynamics 365, or Viewpoint Vista also considered.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
- Construction or renewable energy industry experience, with an understanding of how job cost, progress billing, and field labor flow into the financials.
- Working knowledge of the month-end and year-end close cycle, and how a system change on Tuesday shows up in the numbers at close.
- Five or more years of experience in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or comparable storyboard technologies.
$121,680.00 - $176,436.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
