Security Engineer Principal Position OverviewThe IT Business Intelligence Engineer will design, build, and maintain enterprise BI solutions supporting manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and operational excellence initiatives. This role blends deep technical capability with strong business acumen, enabling data-driven decisions across all levels of the organization. The Engineer will own end to end analytics pipelines-from data ingestion and modeling to visualization and self service analytics.
This position is hybrid/remote, with the ability to commute to Red Oak, TX or Milledgeville, GA as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Work with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs, define requirements, and develop BI solutions that support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Design, maintain, and optimize enterprise data models using medallion, star schema, or similar architecture patterns.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using platforms such as DBT, SSIS, DAG orchestration tools, or cloud-based data services.
- Administer BI and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), including governance, row-level security, workspace management, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop SQL-based integrations, stored procedures, and performance-optimized queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across internal systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, MES, etc.).
- Support data migrations, integrations (API, EDI, SFTP), and onboarding of new platforms or data sources.
- Develop automated reporting packages and dashboards for internal teams and customer-facing analytics.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through analytics, scripting, and system integrations.
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, data flows, BI governance, and analytic standards.
Experience and Education Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar roles.
- Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, or enterprise environments supporting ERP, WMS, TMS, or operational systems.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining enterprise BI platforms with 50+ active users.
- Hands on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and cloud based data architectures.
- Strong background in SQL development and optimization.

- ETL/Orchestration: DBT, Dagster, SSIS, Azure pipelines, or similar tools
- Programming/Scripting: Python, C#, VBA, JSON, XML
- Integrations: API, EDI, SFTP, Fivetran, Digibee, Snowflake connectors
- Data Architecture: Medallion architecture, star schema modeling, BI platform administration
- Tools: Jira, Confluence, Wrike, SharePoint, Visio
