74,800 - 91,400

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
We are looking for an IT Business Analyst II to join our growing team!
As a Business Analyst, you play a key role as an interpreter and facilitator between the various business units, IT, and the quality assurance team. You will be at the heart of a small team whose sole mission is to create and continuously improve the features of our policy management application-so much so that the product is the best not only in the insurance industry, but on the web in general. What you'll do here:
- Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.
- Facilitate/participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.
- Perform impact analyses and effort estimates to recommend, obtain approval for, and document the IT solution using effective methods, interacting with both business users and the IT project team.
- Support the development of solutions and the technical analyses performed.
- Support quality assurance activities and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support the Product Owner in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
- Document user stories for developers and the quality assurance team.
- Identify and communicate impacts on business processes to support change management within business units, using a train-the-trainer approach.
- Build and maintain functional documentation that is robust, accurate, and accessible to all business stakeholders.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Project experience in a Scrum environment.
- Experience with and knowledge of web-based applications.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
