Full Job Description
Amazon Stores FinTech Team is seeking an Application Engineer to design and build a flagship multi-year project to inject automated planning and predictive forecasting, and help shape an end UI, built on the AWS Data Lake. We are the tech team that builds and supports Worldwide Amazon Stores - one of the fastest growing, largest and most complex Supply Chains in the world.
Key job responsibilities
- Expertise and experience in building and supporting Finance Planning Applications
- Work with business customers, developers and TM1 Support to research, document and resolve TM1 system issues
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop, and continuously improve, solutions that accelerate cycle times, alleviate cumbersome manual processes, and ensure financial results are accurate
- Interact with business customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements
- Manage and support Financial Planning Applications by executing the month end and plan cycle and close Standard Operating Procedures
- Manage ongoing user & system support activity according to priority (including rotational on-call availability for critical systems support), and coordinate large-scale change requests with development teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of IBM Cognos TM1 (Planning Analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- 2+ years of business or financial analysis experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
