Functional Consultant - SCM/Manufacturing
Role Overview
We are seeking a 12+ years experienced D365 SCM Functional Consultant with Advanced Warehousing expertise with expertise of experience to lead supply chain implementations and support complex warehouse operations on Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role involves working closely with business users, warehouse teams, and technical consultants to design and deliver scalable SCM solutions.
1. Functional Consulting & Solution Design
• Lead implementation of D365 Supply Chain Management modules.
• Design and configure Advanced Warehouse Management (WMS) solutions.
• Perform requirement gathering, process mapping, and fit-gap analysis.
• Prepare functional design documents (FDD).
2. Advanced Warehousing and Manufacturing
• Configure inbound, outbound, picking, packing, wave, and load management processes.
• Design warehouse location profiles, work templates, and mobile device processes.
• Support inventory, logistics, and transportation workflows.
• Lead implementation of D365 Manufacturing modules.
• Configure and support Discrete, Process, or Lean Manufacturing.
• Handle BOMs, routes, production orders, and shop-floor processes.
3. Testing & Deployment
• Coordinate UAT activities and business sign-offs.
• Support data migration, cutover, and go-live.
• Provide post-go-live functional support and stabilization.
4. Stakeholder Management & Optimization
• Conduct client workshops and end-user training.
• Act as functional SME for warehouse and SCM processes.
• Identify improvement opportunities and best practices.
Experience:
• experience in D365 SCM Functional consulting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Advanced Warehouse Management.
• Experience in end-to-end D365 implementations.
• Strong business communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with large distribution centers or retail warehouse setups.
• Exposure to third-party WMS and logistics integrations.
• Microsoft D365 SCM certification.
Soft Skills:
• Client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to lead discussions and guide stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
