About this roleWe are looking for an IP Transactional Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join a top-ranked boutique law firm and handle IP-heavy transactional work across licensing, MSAs, and corporate deals. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity to grow your own practice on a highly profitable platform with significant origination upside, while supporting a nationally recognized corporate transactional practice.
What will you be doing?- Handling transactional IP work including licensing, MSAs, and IP rights transfers
- Supporting corporate transactional practice with IP due diligence in M&A and secured loan financings
- Advising on copyright and trademark rights across media (music, movies, short-form video, books)
- Managing trademark clearance, TTAB proceedings, and copyright/trademark claim letters
- Building and growing your own book of business with firm marketing support and flexible billable targets (1,600 hours)
Key Requirements- 5-7+ years of IP transactional experience (not purely copyright/trademark registration - must be transactional)
- Substantial experience in licensing, IP-heavy transactions, and technology/software licensing
- Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to develop client relationships
- Privacy law expertise is a strong plus and highly valued
Salary$250K - $300K ($250K base salary with a guaranteed $50K bonus at 1,600 billable hours, discretionary bonus for hours above 1,600, and additional bonus for collections on your own clients above $250K. Significant upside through origination sharing - attorneys with proven portables can earn well above base through the firm's generous compensation structure.)
