Introduction to Team

This iOS III role is part of the Brand Expedia Engineering team which provides dedicated, brand-aligned engineering with end-to-end ownership of customized Brand Expedia experiences, including Home, Attach and Trip Management, while driving lodging differentiation across the Expedia experience. In this role, you will lead delivery for features that span across apps, translate business requirements into engineering solutions, and drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators through release planning and execution.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain iOS applications that deliver reliable, high-quality experiences for travelers and partners.
• Translate product requirements into scalable mobile solutions while applying strong software engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgment.
• Create clear low-level designs, APIs, and data models that support maintainable, performant, and secure application development.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and other technical domains to deliver end-to-end capabilities and solve complex customer and business problems.
• Improve application quality through automated testing, observability, performance optimization, code reviews, and effective incident resolution.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, while building familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience developing and delivering production iOS applications using Swift
• Experience owning substantial features or services within a mobile product, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Proficiency with software design, low-level design, API integration, data modeling, debugging, testing, version control, and continuous delivery practices.
• Ability to collaborate across technical domains and apply engineering judgment to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and operating iOS applications at significant scale, with demonstrated attention to performance, reliability, security, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Advanced knowledge of core iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI
• Proficiency with software design, low-level design, API and GraphQL integration, data modeling, debugging, testing, version control, and continuous delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML concepts or integrating AI-enabled capabilities into mobile products, with the ability to evaluate their safety, effectiveness, and operational impact.
• Experience using coding agents such as Claude or comparable AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows, code quality, testing, or delivery outcomes.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
