INVESTMENT SERVICES MANAGERWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Manage the overall relationship of assigned managed agency accounts. Represent RBC Rochdale in various business activities and maintains contacts with clients, administrators, trustees, co-trustees, beneficiaries, attorneys and others regarding accounts. Work closely with portfolio managers, bankers, and others in providing high quality service and ensures compliance with all statutory requirements.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Investment Administration: Manage a portfolio of assigned client account relationships in accordance to client direction, bank policies and external regulations. Communicate and meet with clients on a proactive basis and respond to their inquiries in a timely and accurate manner ensuring delivery of quality Investment Services. Coordinate and organizes periodic client meetings ensuring that all City National Bank and RBC Rochdale team members (Portfolio Managers, Bankers, Wealth Advisors, etc.) are represented. Confer with administrators, trustees, co-trustees, beneficiaries, attorneys, and others regarding accounts. Work with Portfolio Managers and Bankers/Wealth Advisors to recommend, and upon client approval, implement plans to improve the quality of client account; ensuring recommendations are consistent with account objectives and client investment strategies. Develop new relationships directly and in partnership with Private Bankers/Wealth Advisors externally through referrals from clients and Center of Influences, personal community involvement, and from internal partners. Ensure that all accounts comply with BSA/KYC requirements, cash management in order to meet client's investment expectations and cash requirements, monitoring compliance with investment policies, trade settlement, income collection, corporate actions, and coordinating and attending regular client meetings. Ensure that all tax reporting is being done timely and accurately.Interface with executive and senior level management within the Bank as well as bank relationship managers, team leaders and business development officers on sales related issues, processes and activities.Participates in outside activities in order to ascertain community needs consistent with the Community Reinvestment Act Program.
- Risk Management and ComplianceFollow appropriate Regulation 9 process.Maintain all appropriate training and continuing education requirements for both internal programs and external licenses and certifications. Comply with the regulatory requirements established by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) as well external and internal auditors and the WMS Compliance Officer. Assure that trust policies and procedures coincide with division and bank objectives
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*- 5 years of experience in an investment management or trust environment
- 4 years of experience in a financial services organization
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Additional Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related area preferred, or equivalent 3 to 5 years work experience.
- Basic understanding of trust laws and regulations as they relate to the proper accounting of principal and income and tax requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
- Experience with SEI's Trust 3000 Trust Accounting System.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?CompensationStarting base salary: $71,869 - $114,797 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
