Your role
Are you an experienced Venture Capital professional?

We are looking for someone like that to:
• source and originate highly access constrained GP relationships from your network as well as the intermediary community and tracking spin-out candidates; strong network within Venture Capital is a requirement
• conduct detailed due diligence on prospective venture capital, growth equity and private equity funds, including performance analysis, fund manager evaluations, and risk assessments
• monitor and analyze the performance of existing fund investments, providing regular updates to senior management
• develop and maintain financial models to support investment decision-making processes
• prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• collaborate with colleagues across the investment team to identify new investment opportunities and strategies
• maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting private equity investments
• assist in the negotiation and structuring of investment agreements
• support our distribution teams in SMA or fund product pitches across both Asset and Wealth Management clients and prospects.

This is a unique opportunity to join UBS' Unified Global Alternatives Platform as an Investment Officer, Venture Capital and Private Equity, in New York or in San Francisco, where you'll help shape Venture Capital and Private Equity allocations for Asset and Wealth Management clients. We're seeking an experienced and well-networked professional - notably in Venture Capital - with a strong understanding of private equity markets, fund structures, and investment strategies and deep GP relationships.
The role reports to the UGA Head of Private Equity Americas and offers high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to influence investment outcomes in a fast-evolving market. If you're passionate about private markets and ready to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Your expertise
• ideally 7+ years of experience in private equity, fund of funds, or related investment roles
• whilst this role is more primary focused, understanding of secondaries and co-investments is critical
• proven ability to conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessments
• knowledge of industry trends and market conditions
• technical/programming and/or data analytics skills preferred
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred
• excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with fund managers and stakeholders.

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 145000 - max USD 200000
• United States - California - San Francisco min USD 145000 - max USD 200000 /annum
