Full Job Description
This is an advanced professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Oversees the management of investments for fiduciary (irrevocable and revocable trust) and/or investment management accounts in support of Trust business objectives.

What You'll Do:
  • Participates with Trust Officers, Financial Advisors, Investment Committee members and clients to develop high quality investment strategies/solutions based on management philosophy and customer objectives.
  • Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer/leader needs to be consulted.
  • Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others.
  • Delivers high quality service to Trust Officers, Financial Advisors, other internal partners and clients.
  • Ensures execution of investment strategies to maximize returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk.
  • Performs investment research, stays informed of developments in securities markets, and confers with tax attorneys, accountants, Trust Officers, Compliance/Legal, etc. to determine legal consequences of investment decisions and resolve account problems.
  • Participates in initial and ongoing due diligence for external parties utilizing Arden Trusts trustee services.
  • Assists in all aspects of investment management activities for a dedicated group of accounts, including oversight of day-to-day management and monitoring of investment portfolios.
  • Discusses portfolio positioning, securities held and general market and economic conditions with Trust Officers, Financial Advisors and clients.
  • Cultivates and retains new trust and investment management accounts.
  • Identifies issues and problems, responding quickly and decisively.
  • Analyzes complex problems and identifies appropriate solutions, with contributions towards shaping and refining best practices for the firm.
  • Provides advice and guidance to clients and trust personnel.
  • Ensures compliance and consistency with company investment policy provisions.
  • Analyzes ongoing performance of portfolios and underlying securities.
  • Participates in initiatives requiring deep functional expertise.
  • Other related duties as assigned or needed.


What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 8+ years Portfolio Manager experience.
  • Ability to form opinions on markets, individual securities and quality of investment strategies and managers.
  • Excellent problem solving, independent decision making, analytical and time management skills managing multiple tasks/deadlines for self and others.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment either independently or within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g. executive, management, individual contributors) including the ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to trust administrators and end clients in terms that are understandable.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is essential and experience with Trust Accounting / Compliance systems is required.
