Full Job Description
ResponsibilitiesThe Healthcare Investment Banking team is responsible for the origination and execution of all investment banking transactions by Societe Generale Americas. The emphasis will be the broader Healthcare sector within Investment Banking with a focus on Biotech/Life Sciences. The group is fully integrated into the broader bank and will work closely with our product group and on a cross-border basis with groups in Europe and Asia.Screening and identifying potential banking opportunities across the biotech universeConducting rigorous scientific, clinical, and commercial due diligence for drugs in developmentParticipating in company meetings and industry conferencesContributing to the development of the team's analytical and technical toolsContributing to the buildout and implementation of the firm's proprietary AI-enabled data and analytical systemPreparing detailed quarterly updates on biotech VC/IPO and M&A/BD landscapes (familiarity with pitchbook is a plus) Profile requiredAdvanced degree: MD or PhD in a relevant field, e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, etc.Track record of high academic achievementAbility to interpret scientific literature and analyze clinical dataExceptional quantitative skills.
