Job DescriptionCitizens Commercial Services Advisory team is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst for our Atlanta office. The analyst will work closely with the team preparing, analyzing, and executing Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. All Analysts have significant exposure to senior bankers and are involved in all stages of a transaction; they are an integral part of delivery to our clients and prospects.
Primary responsibilities include:- Managing and assisting with the preparation of financial models and business valuations
- Work with team members developing new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios (inclusive of equity, debt and/or M&A) to help the firm's corporate and sponsor clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives
- Leading / participating in meetings with current and prospective clients
- Conducting industry and company due diligence
- Preparing and reviewing information memoranda and other transaction documents: draft key marketing and key transaction related documents
- Preparing and reviewing pitch/business origination materials and other presentations: develop and review pitches and other presentations and be an integral part of the team in delivering these presentations
- Assisting business development efforts
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials- 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar role.
- Experience in Business Services sector is preferred.
- Intelligent and resourceful
- Professional / concise oral and written communication
- Strong technical skills (knowledge of accounting, modeling, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-starter / intellectual curiosity
- Strong work ethic / team player / high degree of humility, maturity, and integrity
- Ability to work efficiently and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
