Full Job Description
The Role

As an Investment Associate at Lord Abbett, you'll begin your career with a robust, skills-based training program designed to build a strong foundation in investment management. Led by our experienced investment professionals and industry experts, the program covers key areas including Portfolio Construction, Data & Analytics, Investment Research, Trading and the influence of Macroeconomic trends on global markets. Throughout the program, you'll engage directly with senior investment professionals, business leaders, and members of senior management, gaining valuable insights and mentorship. Following onboarding, you'll transition into a full-time role on one of our investment teams-Fixed Income, Tax-Free Fixed Income, or Equities-where you'll contribute meaningfully to the investment process. You'll also have the opportunity to pursue the CFA designation, with support from the firm.

We'll trust you to:

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and valuation analyses, producing insightful reports on companies, industry trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Support senior investment professionals in generating alpha by contributing to portfolio management decisions, enhancing portfolio construction strategies, conducting in-depth research, and navigating complex digital trading environments.
  • Prepare high-quality investment materials, including reports, recommendations, and presentations, to inform and support strategic investment decisions.
  • Leverage advanced digital tools and collaborate with data teams to drive innovation, streamline processes, and uncover differentiated, sustainable investment insights.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through formal and informal training programs to deepen expertise as an investment professional.
  • Conduct comprehensive company and sector research, with a focus on specific asset classes, to support investment theses and portfolio positioning.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships within the broader investment team to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $100,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
