About the RoleWe're looking for an
Inventory Procurement Associate to support the sourcing, purchasing, and tracking of components critical to our robotics, autonomy, and field systems. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, managing supplier relationships, and scaling procurement and supply chain workflows across hardware programs.
You'll work closely with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of components-from fast prototyping through production and early-stage deployment. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role within a fast-moving environment, with responsibilities spanning procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
The Inventory Procurement Associate will report to the Supply Chain team in our Autonomy Operations organization.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...- Source, negotiate, and purchase parts, tools, and materials for R&D, production, and field operations
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery
- Track and manage inventory across labs, warehouses, and deployment sites
- Receive, label, store, and issue materials used in R&D, production, and field builds
- Plan and kit materials for prototype, NPI, and production builds
- Submit and monitor purchase requests for a wide range of hardware components (mechanical, electrical, embedded systems, PCBAs, cables, packaging, consumables, etc.)
- Maintain organized records of POs, receipts, invoices, and part usage
- Conduct regular cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Ensure proper storage practices for sensitive and high-value components
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs, tariffs, and export regulations
- Support onboarding of new suppliers and ensure compliance with documentation requirements
- Help maintain procurement system workflows (Coupa, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and resolve basic system-related issues
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement, inventory, and warehouse processes
- Maintain and upkeep warehouse storage areas, implementing best practices in material handling, storage, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to forecast material needs and prevent shortages
We're excited about you because...- You have 3-5 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, production, or hardware operations (preferably within robotics, aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing environments)
- You have experience with ERP and procurement systems (Coupa, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and ideally MRP systems for production
- You are familiar with hardware development cycles, BOMs, and have supported engineering or R&D teams
- You have strong vendor management and negotiation skillsYou are highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation and tracking skills
- You can manage multiple tasks, vendors, and requests in a fast-paced environment
- You're comfortable handling everything from purchase order tracking to hands-on warehouse inventory management
- You're proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
- You're able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on lab/warehouse environment
Bonus points...- Experience supporting autonomy, robotics, UAVs, aerospace, or regulated hardware programs
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Arena, Agile) and BOM management
- Knowledge of international logistics, duties, tariffs, and shipping compliance
- Experience with low-volume, high-complexity parts procurement
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for workflow and documentation tracking
- Knowledge of lean inventory practices and supply chain optimization
- Forklift certification or demonstrated warehouse safety training
CompensationActual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$84,300-$124,000 USD
