About This Role:

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced Inventory & Cost Accounting Manager. The responsibilities of this position will include the oversite and stewardship of the Cost Accounting processes, inclusive of ownership of inventory transactions and understanding of cost-related performance measures as it relates to cost of revenue. Additionally, this position will provide research and oversight of inventory transactions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition and improve processes. Specific job responsibilities include:
  • Be a subject matter expert in the manufacturing process from raw material to finished goods and cost of sales.
  • Perform analytics throughout the month on cost of sales, absorption, PPV, and other metrics to ensure timing and accuracy of standards and gross margins.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product cost data; assist with close activities as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze cost accounting data and provide insights to drive business decisions.
  • Lead matrixed team of accountants in a global organization. You will delegate process improvement projects, documentation, adhoc analysis, and support them in close by reviewing and approving month end close journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements (administer/maintenance of protected health information)
  • Establish inventory policies and processes and continuously improve inventory management practices
  • Assist cost accounting and manufacturing team in setup of manufacturing bill of materials (BOMs) and routings. Additionally, assists supply chain in material master setup of purchased parts.
  • Identifies tasks and deliverables for implementation and assists in the creation, coordination, and execution of those tasks.
  • In collaboration with the broader Cost Accounting/Operations FP&A team, establish KPIs and timelines as well as cadence for ongoing communications to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and create training for other finance, accounting, manufacturing, and procurement teams as necessary.
  • Lead annual standards setting process - supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering update support and cost roll ups to support Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Set standard costs in ERP system.
  • Maintain updates to materials via MasterControl requests and update materials in QAD/ERP system accordingly.
  • Assist FP&A with product cost related information and modeling for forecast refreshes.
  • Assist in audit and ad-hoc cost accounting requests


Project Related - ERP Implementation responsibilities include:
  • Provide data conversion (gathering, cleansing, etc.) and testing support.
  • Assess current financial policies, procedures, and systems. From that, assist Sr Manager to create the workflow to be used with the new ERP system.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of accounting or finance experience, 5+ years of cost accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, data merges, filters, etc.)
  • Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in U.S. GAAP
  • Willingness to work flexible or extended hours during month end close to support an international team of accountants based in the Philippines.
  • Experience with tight deadlines and responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed or reviewed
  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to work with limited supervision
  • Exhibits advanced wide-ranging experience, using in depth professional knowledge, acumen, concepts and company objectives to develop, resolve complex models and procedures. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of multinational ERP is required; SAP and/or QAD is a plus
  • Previous experience in ERP implementations or related project management experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented, matrixed organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of personnel, both internally and externally
  • An eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a rapidly-growing and dynamic environment; must be a team player
